Free to be Bush Play and Learning is all about empowering children and families through bush and nature play at two stunning locations in Southern Tasmania.
Founder, Roxanne, is a motivated mum, experienced Nature Playworker and Early Years/ Primary Teacher with a nature loving toddler and a passion for nature and child led play. She runs Bush Playgroups / Bush Kindy, Family Fun Days, Bush-Skills groups, Home Education Enrichment and special events.
Bush Play Village (playgroup) is a child-led program for children from birth to age five and their families. Some activities and opportunities include, water/mud play, painting, treasure hunts, bush walks, stick play and craft, nature crafts, singing songs, reading books, balancing and climbing skills, shelter building and more.
Home Educator Enrichment is all about building and contributing to the outdoor home education community. An example of activities include making your own autumn inspired beeswax candles by collecting resources from the bush and creating your own candles from pure beeswax sheets. There will be also group games, treasure and fungi hunts, hot chocolate and lots of opportunities for play and learning in the bush.
Free To Be Bush Play host many community events including snake awareness and first aid, Wild Women – fire skills in the bush for women and trips to wildlife sanctuaries including Bonorong. Please get in touch if you are in need of an experienced Educator and Nature Playworker for an event.
School Holiday Programs vary depending on the time of year and include activities such as messy colours and potions, ice smash and water play, box city in the bush and hapazome and natural paints. Some really fun and interesting opportunities to build new skills, expand your imagination and make special family memories.
